Toni moved to Worcestershire at the age
of 5 and despite being terrified by a cow who appeared to have 16’ long
legs (the field was very much higher that the road) she soon became involved
in country life.
Not having a dog, she spent most of her school holiday walking other
peoples dogs and hovering around the ponies at local fetes. Horses
became her first
love and she would have a horse on loan during the school holidays, heaven!
Having a puppy from a litter out of their sprocker, she and husband Steve
joined the Society in 2004 and attended a 6 week training course where
she found everyone
very friendly and helpful. Needless to say having been beating on a few occasions,
her niece Charlotte has since been working the dog.
More recently she has been given (by the husband) a Labrador and is very much
enjoying the training, helped by an extremely patient trainer ( though she
would be the first to admit that it is she who needs the most training).
Co-opted onto the committee in 2005 and becoming a full member in 2006, she
plays an active part in all aspects of the Society and became Treasurer in
2007.
